Join us in remembering those we lost to anti-transgender violence this year on November 20th, 2025 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Travis Park United Methodist Church, located at 230 E Travis St, San Antonio, TX 78205. Parking is available across the street from the church at the Travis Park Plaza Garage, located at 207 E Travis St, San Antonio, TX 78205. There is a passenger drop-off area in front of the church on Travis Street and a wheelchair lift as soon as you come in the front doors to your right and an additional wheelchair entrance on Navarro Street.
The event will start with a resource fair from 6 PM to 7 PM followed by an open mic from 7 PM to 8 PM, hosted by San Antonio Public Library, where you are invited to read poems, messages, statements, and stories. We will close out the evening with a reading of names by candlelit vigil. We will also be providing packets of tissues and a support room within the church where you can access a quiet area. Faith-based and general mental health providers will be available in the room if you need someone to talk to or just need to sit with someone.
For those who are interested in reading out names, please contact us at contact@sagender.org. If you would like to participate in the open mic portion, please visit the San Antonio Public Library Event Page and click the Sign Up button to register.
We are incredibly grateful to our community partners Travis Park United Methodist Church, San Antonio Public Library, Equality Texas, Pride Center San Antonio, Thrive Youth Center, Fiesta Youth, PFLAG San Antonio, and Transgender Education Network of Texas.
